Changing image size
Resizing changes the dimensions of an image in pixels. Making a photo smaller is the easiest way to make it lighter for email, messengers and websites: a 4000-pixel camera shot rarely needs to be wider than 1500–2000 pixels on screen.
Enter a new width or height, or use the 25, 50 and 75% presets. With Lock aspect ratio on, the other side is calculated automatically so the picture doesn't stretch; turn it off to set the exact size a form or marketplace requires. The file keeps its original format.
Enlarging past the original size adds no detail and makes the picture soft. To make a small photo bigger, use the AI upscaler, which rebuilds detail while enlarging.
Everything runs locally in your browser — your images are never uploaded to a server.
