Save the finished image to your device, or open it in the photo editor to keep retouching it with layers, filters and AI tools.

About JPG and PNG

JPG (JPEG) is the standard format for photos. It compresses images with loss, discarding detail the eye barely notices, which keeps files small but leaves artifacts around sharp edges and text, and every new save adds a little more loss. PNG compresses without loss, stores every pixel exactly and supports transparency, so it is preferred for screenshots, graphics, logos and images you plan to keep editing.

Converting JPG to PNG makes sense when you need a file that won't degrade on repeated saves, when an app or website asks specifically for PNG, or before cutting out a background in an editor. Keep in mind that conversion can't bring back detail that JPG compression has already removed, and the PNG will usually be several times larger than the original photo.

Open an image and the preview shows its dimensions and the estimated PNG size. Download the result or send it straight to the photo editor to remove the background or keep working on it.
