Why crop a photo
Cropping removes the parts of a photo you don't need — extra background, a stranger at the edge of the frame, empty sky — and lets you rebuild the composition, for example by moving the subject off-center along the rule of thirds.
Use a free-form frame or a fixed aspect ratio: 1:1 for avatars and square posts, 4:3 and 3:2 for classic prints, 16:9 for YouTube covers and slides, 9:16 for Stories, Reels and TikTok. Drag the photo under the frame and zoom in up to 4× to crop tighter; the result is saved as a PNG without any recompression, or sent straight to the photo editor.
Everything runs locally in your browser — your images are never uploaded to a server.
