What is the difference between RGB and HEX

The RGB color model generates the colors of computer monitors and televisions, scanners and other electronic devices. The RGB model is an additive color model, i.e. colors are generated by summing the luminous fluxes. For each pixel of the image on the monitor screen, a set of three colors with a certain level of brightness is created. By combining these colors of different brightness, the entire spectrum of colors that we see on the screen is created. The most convenient, widespread, universal way of specifying a color is RGB. RGB is an abbreviation for (Red Green Blue), which means: red, green, blue are the primary colors, by combining which all other colors are obtained.

HEX color encoding is essentially the hexadecimal representation of the RGB model discussed above. All color codes of this model are presented in a combined form of a triad of numbers in a hexadecimal number system, in which each of the three groups is responsible for its component color. The group length is fixed - 2 characters. This approach still allows you to specify 256 states of the desired color coefficient. The values of each of the coefficient groups must be between 00 and FF. For browsers, a simplified form of writing color in HEX format is also possible, where only three code characters are indicated instead of 6. In this case, it is assumed that each of the three groups consists of the same characters. For example, AAFF11 can be abbreviated to AF1.
