How to use: WebP to JPG

  1. 1

    Open your image

Drop a JPG, PNG, WebP or other photo onto the page, or choose it on your device. It opens instantly and is never uploaded anywhere.

  2. 2

    Adjust the settings

Use the tool controls; the preview updates as you change them, so you can see the result before saving.

  3. 3

    Download the result

Save the finished image to your device, or open it in the photo editor to keep retouching it with layers, filters and AI tools.

When WebP needs to be JPG

Many websites now serve images in WebP, Google's format for the web, so a picture you save from a browser often ends up as a .webp file. Browsers display it fine, but older photo viewers, some office suites, print services, marketplaces and upload forms still expect JPG. Converting WebP to JPG solves these compatibility problems in one step.

JPG is lossy and has no transparency, so any transparent areas of the WebP become white in the result. If you need to keep transparency, convert WebP to PNG instead. Animated WebP files are saved as a single still frame.

Set the JPG quality with the slider from 10 to 100% (85% by default) and check the estimated file size under the preview. Because the WebP is already compressed, a high setting of 85–95% avoids adding a second layer of artifacts. You can also open the result in the photo editor to crop, resize or retouch it.

Everything runs locally in your browser — your images are never uploaded to a server.
