Color names in HTML and CSS
HTML and CSS let you write a color as a keyword instead of a number. Besides the 16 basic names such as Red, Navy and Olive, browsers understand an extended set of about 140 names — Tomato, SteelBlue, RebeccaPurple and many more — and each of them maps to a fixed HEX value. Names are case-insensitive, so color: tomato and color: Tomato mean the same.
