About the webcam recorder
This page turns your browser into a simple camera app. Press “Turn on camera” and allow access when the browser asks; if your computer has several cameras, choose the one you want. The live image is mirrored by default, like a selfie camera, and photos and videos are saved exactly as you see them, so turn mirroring off when text in the frame needs to be readable.
Pick one of ten filters, including Vivid, Warm, Cool, Mono, Noir, Sepia, Vintage and Dream, and see the effect live. Set a 3, 5 or 10 second timer to get into position, or use burst mode to take 3 or 5 photos in a row. The timer also works before a video recording starts, and you can record with or without sound from the microphone.
Shots appear in a gallery below the camera: photos are saved as JPG, and videos as MP4 or WebM depending on your browser. Download them, delete the ones you don't want or open a photo in the photo editor. Nothing is sent to a server.
Everything runs locally in your browser — your images are never uploaded to a server.
