How the meme maker works
Upload any picture, or start with a blank colored canvas in square, portrait, landscape or story shape for a text-only meme. The generator adds the classic top and bottom text, and you can add more text boxes, click any of them and drag it anywhere on the image; the arrow keys nudge the selected text.
Each text has its own style: Impact, Anton, Arial Bold, Comic or a serif font, plus size, color, outline color and width, box width, alignment and an ALL CAPS switch. One click applies the same style to every text. For the modern meme look, turn on the caption bar, which places black text on a white strip above the image.
Download the result as JPG or PNG, or open it in the full photo editor for further edits. Your images are processed in the browser and are never uploaded.
