Designing an icon
Start with the foreground: pick one of more than 100 line icons, type up to three letters or an emoji, or upload your own picture and drag and zoom it in the preview. Icons can be outlined or filled, with their own color, size and rotation.
Behind it goes a solid color, a linear or radial gradient, or no background at all, with optional noise and gloss. The shape is a square, rounded square, squircle or circle, or full bleed for Android adaptive icons and stores that round the corners themselves. A long or drop shadow and a border ring finish the look. Guides show the Android safe zone and the iOS mask, and previews show the icon at real sizes and on a home screen, browser tab and chat, in light and dark themes.
Download a PNG or JPG from 16×16 to 1024×1024 or a custom size up to 2048 px, a ZIP with ten standard sizes, or a favicon.ico with 16, 32 and 48 px. Open in editor passes the icon to the photo editor. Nothing is uploaded.
Everything runs locally in your browser — your images are never uploaded to a server.
