Reading QR codes online

Sometimes a QR code is on your screen instead of in front of your phone: in a PDF, an email or a screenshot. Drop the image here, browse for a file or paste a screenshot with Ctrl+V, or scan a printed code live with your device's camera. If an image contains several codes, all of them are found.

The image is analyzed in your browser at several scales and contrasts, which helps with small or low-contrast codes, and nothing is uploaded. The decoded content is recognized by type: open a link, see the details of a Wi-Fi network, save a contact card as a .vcf file, call a number, send an SMS, write an email or open a location in OpenStreetMap. The raw text can always be copied.

Check the address before opening links from unknown codes. If no code is found, try a sharper, larger or better-lit image, or crop it closer to the code.

Everything runs locally in your browser — your images are never uploaded to a server.
